This is an onsite role at our headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.

The Opportunity

As a Business Systems Analyst at Connex Markets, you will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical development teams. You'll own the product roadmap, translate business needs into requirements, develop and execute test plans, coordinate releases, and ensure effective communication and training for users. Success requires business acumen, user experience thinking, technical understanding, and innovative problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Product Roadmap Management & Requirements

• Own product roadmap management, prioritizing features based on business value and user needs
• Organize and coordinate projects across multiple workstreams, tracking progress and managing dependencies
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Create process flows, user journey maps, and wireframes to communicate requirements
• Act as primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams

Innovation & User Experience

• Champion the user perspective in all product decisions
• Define requirements for data visualizations and dashboards that effectively communicate business insights
• Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies (AI/ML, new tools) to solve business problems
• Proactively bring innovative ideas for improving workflows and creating competitive advantages
• Demonstrate strong situational awareness and anticipate needs before they escalate

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans from a business user perspective
• Create realistic test scenarios and test data that reflect actual business workflows
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), preparing test scripts and facilitating sessions
• Validate data integrity, business logic, and user experience quality across environments
• Work with development teams to resolve issues before release

Release Management & Communication

• Coordinate release activities and ensure smooth deployment to production
• Develop communication plans for releases, articulating changes and benefits
• Create and deliver training materials and sessions for internal and external users
• Develop user documentation, guides, and FAQs to support adoption
• Gather post-release feedback and incorporate into future initiatives

Qualifications

Required

• 3-5 years as a Business Analyst or Product Analyst, preferably in financial services or fintech
• Familiarity with commercial lending processes with ability to quickly learn domain concepts
• Strong requirements gathering, functional specifications, and documentation skills
• Experience developing and executing test plans focused on business scenarios
• Proven ability to manage product roadmaps and coordinate multiple initiatives
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience with release management and user training

Strongly Preferred

• Experience with commercial lending, financial services, or fintech industries
• Familiarity with AWS-based applications and cloud architecture concepts
• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and wireframing tools
• Experience with data-intensive applications and data workflows
• Background in management consulting or business process improvement
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
