Logistics and Operations Specialist
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics and Operations Specialist to support logistics, operations, and administrative functions within a dynamic technical environment. This role combines hands-on logistical coordination with operational and administrative support for the group Business Manager and technical staff.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update group and program Wiki pages on a regular basis
Manage software version tracking for group technical systems
Maintain employee property records using the internal property tracking system
Coordinate outgoing shipments and process shipping orders through SAP
Support purchasing activities, including purchase order extensions and adjustments
Assist the Business Manager with administrative and operational tasks
Validate and refresh Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) documentation
Support uptime and operational reliability across lab and field environments
Collaborate with technical staff to collect information and track hardware assets
Maintain logistical records for radios, hardware, and apertures, including software versions, hardware revisions, property tracking, and location management
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, STEM, or a related field, with 2+ years of relevant experience
Experience with or familiarity with SAP systems
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to work effectively in evolving or loosely defined environments
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting
Experience managing tasks with defined deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Logistics or operations experience within a large company, Federal Government, UARC, or FFRDC environment
Familiarity with SharePoint, Wiki platforms, SAP, and property management systems
Experience with ordering systems such as SAP SRM
Familiarity with enterprise management systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Salesforce
Additional Information
This position is expected to work onsite three days per week. During the initial training period, preferred onsite days are Monday through Wednesday.
An interim clearance is sufficient to begin employment.
The interview process includes an initial virtual screening followed by an onsite interview.
