Payroll Specialist
Pay: $35.00-$40.00/hour
Location: Malvern, PA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (Hybrid available for local candidates after training)
Duration: Contract through November 2026 with potential for extension or permanent hire.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a busy payroll team supporting a large, multi-state organization. In this role, you'll process payroll, resolve payroll issues, ensure compliance, and provide excellent customer service while working in Workday.
Responsibilities
- Process weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payrolls accurately and on time.
- Process payroll for employees across multiple states.
- Research and resolve payroll questions and discrepancies.
- Review payroll data for accuracy and correct errors.
- Support employees and internal teams with payroll-related questions.
- Ensure compliance with payroll laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Work within Workday Payroll and HCM to process payroll transactions.
- Assist with payroll testing, audits, and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Experience using Workday Payroll is required.
- Multi-state payroll experience is required.
- 2-4 years of payroll experience with a Bachelor's degree or 5 years of payroll experience without a degree.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Workday Payroll Certification is a plus.
