Job Title: Assembler I – Quality Inspection

Pay Rate: $17.00-$18.50/hour based on shift worked
Location: East Providence, RI
Duration: Temp-to-Perm
Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Associate to perform quality inspections, packaging, and labeling of manufactured components. This role involves inspecting products to ensure they meet established workmanship standards, documenting inspection results, maintaining accurate piece counts, and identifying products that may not meet quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect products to ensure they meet established quality and workmanship standards.
• Determine acceptable and unacceptable product conditions based on inspection guidelines.
• Follow sampling procedures to ensure consistent quality control.
• Document inspection results and report any findings or concerns.
• Set up and operate scales to verify accurate piece counts according to work instructions.
• Package and label products while maintaining accurate production records.
• Generate product labels using a computer system as needed.
• Identify, tag, and report potentially defective or nonconforming products for further review.
• Follow established work instructions and safety procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Prior Assembly experience
• Basic math skills and the ability to maintain accurate counts and records.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Previous quality inspection experience preferred.
• Familiarity with basic measuring equipment preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Work in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to sit or stand throughout the shift and occasionally walk.
• Regular use of hands and arms for handling, reaching, and inspecting products.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to perform close visual inspections and distinguish colors.
• Occasional exposure to moving machinery and industrial chemicals.
• Moderate noise levels in the work environment.
