Connections Personnel is hiring for a Direct Hire Warehouse Office Assistant for our client located in Somerset, NJ. Company is a 5th generation owned family business that imports quality goods. Looking for a candidate that has experience working with overseas suppliers, rework, shipping and time studies to join the team.
Responsibilities:
The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Process the work orders following all the customer’s requirements.
- Prioritize and coordinate with the shipping department.
- Correspond with the sales team to clarify any issues with orders.
- Order tickets, print UPC barcodes and any special requirements for the customers.
- Order tickets for overseas factories.
- Process sample and photo requests.
- Assist the warehouse employees with any issues that occur.
- Maintain supplies inventory and order custom packaging when needed.
Qualified candidates for the Warehouse Office Assistant will possess:
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree.
- Must speak English – Spanish is a plus.
- Must have at least 3 years manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures.
- Must be able to work independently and absorb information.
- Must be able to multi task.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards World software, BlueCherry, Label Matrix and Cognos is A .
- Knowledge of UPS WorldShip is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Drug test/background check done prior to starting.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 2:30pm
Salary: $60K
