Medical Biller

Pay: $20-28/hour DOE

Job Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding and billing for Mental Health and Wellness Company,
- Assign appropriate codes using ICD-9, ICD-10, and other coding systems
- Verify patient insurance coverage and process claims for reimbursement
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve billing discrepancies
- Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Stay updated on changes in medical coding and billing guidelines

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
- Knowledge of medical billing procedures, including coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10)
- Familiarity with DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) coding
- Proficient in using medical billing software and electronic health record systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
- Excellent communication skills to interact with healthcare professionals, insurance companies, and patients
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion

-Experiece with simple practice (preferred but not required)

- Available to meet weekly on Tuesdays

- Available to start ASAP

Note: Certification in medical billing or coding is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Part-time up to 30 hrs/week, some in office hours, mostly from home
