What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Occupational Therapist position at Connections Family OT?
We’re seeking an independent contract therapist who is passionate about helping families, and a clinically Certified Pediatric Occupational Therapist OTR/L to join our practice. This position is part time, and the therapist may add as many or as little client hours as desired from the active client base and practice wait-list. The therapist will see clients in their home or school setting, creating a relationship with each family and collaborating with the lead OT as needed.
About Connections Family OT: A privately owned pediatric OT practice specializing in helping families of neuro-divergent children navigate the challenges related to anxiety, nervous system regulation, sensory processing difficulties and extreme picky eating. We believe that family centered, relationship-based care is the key to making lasting developmental changes for children who are struggling. We provide in-home, school or community therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- Current WA state license in OT
- NBCOT: National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- At least 3 years of experience working as an OT with pediatric population
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance and vehicle for off-site therapy sessions
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with pediatric patients, applying strong critical thinking skills to make objective, strategic, and outcome-focused care decisions

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized in-home OT services to current pediatric case load addressing sensory processing, regulatory skills, and motor skills within their natural environment.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on evaluations, family goals, and evidence-based practices.
- Provide empathetic and positive communication for parents.
- Use relationship centered, play based therapy to support client’s success during treatment sessions.
- Communicate and collaborate with other professionals as appropriate for each client.

- Pay: $80.00 - $100.00 per hour DOE
- Expected hours: 5-15 hours per week
