- Provide freight quotes, routing guidance, and shipping solutions for FTL, LTL, parcel, small parcel, and heavyweight shipments.
- Coordinate shipment re-routes, carrier pickups, tracking requests, proof of delivery, address corrections, short shipments, missed deliveries, and freight claims.
- Audit, analyze, and resolve freight billing, invoicing, accessorial charges, cargo insurance, and claim-related issues with accuracy and urgency.
- Work with vendors and carriers to resolve service, delivery, contract, rate, or cost-related concerns.
- Partner with TIDC, Sales, Customer Care, and Finance on freight questions, escalations, and process improvements.
- Educate internal teams on freight fundamentals, policies, quoting practices, and best practices.
- Support freight projects, cross-functional initiatives, training, and continuous improvement efforts.
What We’re Looking For
- 2 years of relevant experience; 4 years of experience is preferred for full proficiency.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Experience or exposure in freight, logistics, transportation, dispatching, carrier coordination, LTL, FTL, parcel, small parcel, billing, freight audit, or customer support.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and working with data, queries, rates, and reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to navigate multiple systems and web-based applications; ERP experience, such as JD Edwards, is helpful.
- Strong analytical skills for reviewing quotes, invoices, contracts, billing discrepancies, freight data, and service issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain freight issues clearly to customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Customer-focused mindset, strong listening skills, and the ability to follow freight matters through to resolution.
- Strong organizational skills, documentation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
