Our drivers are always friendly and courteous and are focused on making the transportation experience safe for all. We specialize in all aspects of transporting behaviorally challenged children and adults. Our staff is trained in abuse / neglect prevention and reporting, basic first aid, CPR, and only the safest driving methods.
Salary:
The salary range for this position is $48,000.00 to $60,000.00. At Connecticut Transportation Solutions, LLC, we are proud to pay for experience and performance.
High Level Job Description:
The Dispatcher will maintain the transportation schedule for drivers and drivers’ aides in all our business locations. Make any schedule, driver, and aide changes when needed. Track vehicles to ensure that all transports are covered in a timely fashion.
To be successful in this role the incumbent must be professional, able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities, be a strong communicator, be flexible, and maintain calmness but be productive in stressful situations. The dispatcher role must possess a V/PS endorsement, have solid
computer skills including programs such as Microsoft 365, Excel, Word, and be familiar with GPS software.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain daily schedules/dispatch of transportation assignments. Including ABH, GFA, summer camps, and private pay dispatch schedule.
- Maintain and refer to employee time off calendar and assign coverage as needed.
- Work with CTS Admin team to assign the most compatible driver and drivers’ aide to the run.
- Proactively communicate run information to drivers, drivers’ aide, school staff, parents/guardians.
- Proactively communicate changes in runs, incident reports, accident reports, and any changes in day-to-day statuses to the appropriate parties.
- Ensure that the schedule is complete and updated before leaving for the day. The drivers and drivers’ aides have all the necessary information / changes needed and communicated to them for their next shift.
- When new run requests come over get familiar with where, who and how you will fit on schedule if availability allows.
- Collaborate with director(s) to maximize efficiency for new and current transports.
- Fill in as a driver when needed.
- Answer phones along with admin staff, communicate effectively and professionally with all agency personnel, parents, guardians, and school administration.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- V or PS endorsement on license

- Ability to multitask
- Superb interpersonal skills, including building relationships via phone and email
