Job TitleMaterial Handler - ProductionJob Number 53-7062.00 DepartmentMetal Form Manufacturing (APP, SECPP, GEN FAC, ASSY, FOURSLIDE)Reports toArea SupervisorPrimary Position ObjectivesRequired to operate hand truck and/or forklift truck in the movement of materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated places in the facility in the support of Metal Form Manufacturing.Position ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesDescription of DutiesMaterial Performs various material handling duties within the facility.Manually loads raw material or finished product on skid, hand truck or forklift.Stacks skids or pallets in designated areas.May be required to clean up and dispose of scrap, cardboard boxes etc. and places in proper containers or designated areas.Required to move incoming and outgoing product as required.Required to move to production areas, boxes, bags, etc. to support productionRequired to weigh and log incoming jobs to department.Required to log operations closed upon moving of product to next area of manufacture on GUI.Moves material, product, etc. to designated queue areas.OtherMaintains adherence to company policies, environmental and safety standards, and good housekeeping standards Observes company processes and makes recommendations for improvement.May be required to assist or otherwise instruct other personnel.Performs other duties as may be required.Attendance is an essential function of the jobQualifications Education / ExperienceHigh School graduate or demonstration of equivalent skillsBasic math skills.Basic computer skillsForklift operation skills.Forklift certification.Ability to understand and follow directionsPhysical RequirementsVisual Sharpness (corrected) to operate machines (including visual inspection procedures).Manual dexterity.
