Primary Position Objectives

Works with direction in responding to customer quotations, orders, inquiries and concerns and coordinates with other departments in handling of customer inquiries.

 

Position Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Description of Duties

 

  • Works with customers to help resolve problems and offer alternatives.
  • Answers phone calls and emails to provide information as requested.
  • Works closely with Schedulers to achieve best possible delivery dates to customers.
  • Responsible for assigned customers, following customer forecasts, and open order reports.
  • Responsible for monitoring Blanket Orders assuring consistent shipments and inventory levels based upon customers liability.
  • Receives requests for price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations directly from customers.
  • Achieves and maintains rapport with customers and works to give them the best possible service.
  • Responsible for guiding complaint resolution to ensure that proper and satisfactory results are obtained.
  • Scanning and linking customer order documentation into our manufacturing system
  • Recommends disposing or keeping excessive finished goods.
  • Ensures accuracy of system data.

Lean Initiatives

  • Observes company processes and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Participates in Lean Projects.

Other

  • Maintains adherence to company policies, environmental and safety standards, and good housekeeping standards.
  • May be required to assist or otherwise instruct other personnel.
  • Performs other duties as may be required.
  • Attendance is an essential function of the job

 

 

Qualifications

 

Education/Experience

  • High School diploma or demonstration of equivalent skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable, and well organized.
  • 2 years’ experience in customer service in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must have sufficient education to understand simple calculations.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Outlook and Excel with ease.
