Summary:
The LYNC Transportation Case Aide plays an important role in helping court-involved youth and their families access the services and support they need to achieve lasting success. This position provides safe, reliable transportation to and from LYNC programming while creating a positive and supportive experience for youth and families.
LYNC is a center-based program that partners with court-involved youth and their families to promote sustainable behavioral change through evidence-based and evidence-informed services. The program emphasizes connecting participants with community resources and natural supports that foster long-term success beyond program participation.
As a member of the LYNC team, the Transportation Case Aide demonstrates professionalism and a commitment to culturally responsive, gender-responsive, and trauma-informed care in every interaction. Hours are Monday to Thursday 1pm to 7pm, and Friday 12pm to 6pm.
Salary Range: $16.94–$19.75 per hour.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide transportation to youth and their families to and from LYNC programming.
- Provides transportation to and from services, primarily group travel based or picking up multiple youth within a common destination.
- Reinforce positive behavioral and like skills while transporting youth.
- Comply with all traffic laws and “How’s My Driving” expectations.
- Complete vehicle safety checks and inspections as required.
- Maintain documentation in compliance with agency program standards.
- Participates in staff meetings, supervision, and other meetings assigned.
- Complete all training on time.
- Maintain mileage log and regular vehicle maintenance.
- Ensure responsible use of agency gas cards by accurately documenting purchases and submitting required receipts.
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicles.
- Participate in all required internal and external meetings and supervisions.
- Complete all required internal and external training within the required timeframes.
- Meet and contribute to agency outcomes and performance measures.
- Adhere to state and federal regulations, standards of accreditation, facility licensure and funding sources.
- May perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics:
Knowledge Of:
- Engagement/motivational skills.
- Vehicle safety checks and inspections.
- General office software, particularly Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability To:
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Manage priorities effectively to meet deadlines and demonstrate multi-tasking skills.
- Assimilate new information and technology.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Two or more years of safe driving experience required, experience working with youth and families preferred.
- Some knowledge of the juvenile justice system.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and no traffic violations on record.
- Bilingual in Spanish or Haitian Creole preferred.
Other:
- Dependable, detail oriented, and customer focused, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, staff and referral sources.
- Must be able to meet routine office physical demands including climbing stairs, carrying up to 20-pound objects and possess the dexterity and vision to operate office computers and equipment.
- Must successfully complete the introductory probationary employment period.
