VP Finance | Role Summary
RevMedica is seeking a hands-on VP of Finance to build and lead the company’s financial, commercial, and corporate infrastructure as we transition from FDA submission and limited market release into early commercialization and scale. This role will report to the CEO.
This role owns financial strategy, capital management, accounting integrity, and commercial infrastructure build-out. In addition, this leader will establish foundational HR, tax, audit, and governance systems appropriate for a regulated, venture-backed medical device company.
This is a builder role — responsible for creating scalable systems and discipline while operating in a lean startup environment.
Financial Strategy & Capital Management
- Lead company-wide financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Develop long-range financial models tied to commercialization and scale.
- Actively manage cash runway, burn rate, and working capital.
- Support fundraising efforts and investor reporting.
- Prepare and deliver board-level financial materials.
Accounting, Audit & Tax Oversight
- Oversee accounting operations (in partnership with external firms as appropriate).
- Ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting and disciplined monthly close.
- Manage annual tax filings and coordinate external tax advisors.
- Lead R&D tax credit documentation and optimization.
- Oversee audit preparation and increasing financial control rigor.
- Manage 409A valuation process and equity compliance.
Commercial & Revenue Infrastructure
- Establish the end-to-end order-to-cash process.
- Structure VAC and hospital contracting mechanics (financial terms, rebates, pricing governance).
- Develop revenue recognition policies aligned with commercialization model.
- Partner with Commercial and Operations on pricing strategy and margin analysis.
- Oversee distributor agreement financial structuring.
Systems & Integration
- Implement and integrate core systems (CRM, ERP/accounting, inventory reporting).
- Ensure CRM-to-finance integration supports forecasting, invoicing, and revenue visibility.
- Establish KPI dashboards across revenue, margin, inventory, and cash.
- Build scalable financial infrastructure without unnecessary bureaucracy.
3PL & Inventory Financial Oversight
- Lead financial evaluation and contracting structure of 3PL partners.
- Define inventory accounting treatment and working capital strategy.
- Partner with Operations on inventory controls and cost visibility.
- (Note: Operational execution of manufacturing, supplier management, and physical product flow resides with Director of Operations.)
HR & Corporate Infrastructure
- Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and HR vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with employment and compensation regulations.
- Support workforce planning and headcount budgeting.
- Administer equity plans, cap table management, and board-approved grants.
- Support insurance, risk management, and corporate governance needs

Qualifications
- 8–15 years of progressive finance leadership experience.
- Experience in medical device, regulated product, or inventory-intensive businesses preferred.
- Experience building financial and commercial infrastructure in early-stage companies.
- Strong modeling, capital planning, and cash management expertise.
- Familiarity with revenue recognition, distributor models, and VAC contracting structures.
- Experience with audit preparation, R&D credits, and 409A processes.
- Hands-on, pragmatic leader comfortable building from scratch.

Salary : $170,000 - $210,000
