Customer Success Specialist | Position Overview

Location: New York, NY (in-office 3 days per week) - 33rd Street & Madison
Compensation: $85,000 – $110,000 in base salary
This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to be close to both the product and the customer. You will demo the platform, train users, and help shape how the product evolves based on real-world feedback. This role is best suited for someone with 2–5 years of experience in fintech or financial services who has worked directly with customers. We are looking for someone who can operate at the intersection of:
- Product
- Sales
- Customer experience
You will work closely with the team in-office at least three days per week, collaborating directly with product, engineering, and leadership.
Product demos and client onboarding
- Lead live demos of the Optifino platform for prospective users
- Clearly explain complex insurance workflows in a simple, structured way
- Train new customers across:
- Case design
- Policy comparison
- Professional review workflows
- Serve as a hands-on resource for advisors adopting the platform
Product feedback and AI interface development
- Work closely with engineering to improve our AI-driven interface
- Provide structured feedback based on:
- Your own usage
- Customer interactions during demos and onboarding
- Interview advisors and sales partners to identify friction points and opportunities
- Translate qualitative feedback into clear, actionable product insights
Analytical and operational support
- Support ad hoc analysis across:
- Client cases
- Platform usage
- Internal initiatives
- Help identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities
Content and knowledge library development
- Curate and expand our internal and client-facing content library
- Source relevant:
- Articles
- Planning strategies
- Industry thought pieces
- Help ensure advisors have access to high-quality, actionable content
What You Bring
- 2–5 years of experience in: FinTech, InsurTech, or a SaaS company
- Experience: Running product demos and onboarding users and working directly with customers in a sales or solutions-oriented role
- Bachelor’s degree in: Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Ability to simplify complex concepts, especially in insurance or financial products
- Comfort working across product, engineering, and sales
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- High ownership and flexibility in a fast-moving environment
- Willingness to work in-office in New York City at least three days per week
