What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Nurse position at Connecticut Counseling Centers, Inc?
Seeking a fulltime Staff Nurse. Early shift hours as early as 5am and Saturdays are a must. Duties to include but are not limited to:
1. S/he will be responsible for dispensing methadone under the direction of the physician and recording on appropriate forms and computer programs.
2. S/he will inform the physician of any unusual symptoms or complaints of the patients.
3. S/he will keep a weekly urine schedule, monitor urine collections when necessary and see that urines are supervised by staff members.
4. S/he will schedule each patient for an admission and yearly physical examination and required blood work with the Medical Director.
5. S/he will keep appropriate records of the narcotic administration.
6. S/he will enter pertinent information in the nurse’s notes.
7. S/he will attend staff meetings and the screening of applicants for the purpose of decision- making and exchange of information.
8. S/he will establish good rapport with the patients.
9. S/he will perform various “housekeeping tasks” as are necessary to complete daily work and prepare for the next day.
10. S/he will understand and correctly utilize the computer programs and dispensing machine in daily operations.
11. S/he has the knowledge and skills required to provide services to adult patients.
12. S/he develops a positive therapeutic working relationship with patients including modifying interventions to meet the values and expectations of the patients.
13. S/he will perform additional duties as assigned.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
