About Us: We are a fast-paced, quality-driven millwork shop specializing in custom commercial cabinetry and countertops. We also serve residential clients for countertop projects. Our team is growing, and we’re looking to bring on a detail-oriented and experienced CAD Drafter to support our production and design team.
Position Overview: As a CAD Drafter, you will be responsible for creating detailed shop drawings for custom cabinetry and countertops. You’ll work closely with project managers, the shop floor, and installers to ensure accurate and efficient production. Your work will be key in bringing architectural plans to life and maintaining the quality we’re known for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed and accurate CAD drawings for cabinetry, millwork, and countertops from architectural plans and field measurements
- Interpret and adapt construction documents, blueprints, and design intent into shop-ready drawings
- Collaborate with project managers and production teams to ensure design feasibility and fabrication accuracy
- Revise drawings based on feedback and markups
- Maintain organized drawing files and project documentation
- Assist in field measuring and site visits as needed
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and internal quality guidelines
Requirements:
- 6 years of experience drafting in a millwork, cabinetry, or related manufacturing environment
- Proficient in AutoCAD (or other CAD software used in millwork)
- Strong understanding of millwork construction methods, cabinet standards, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of cabinet hardware and CNC programming is a plus
- Experience with 3D modeling (e.g., SketchUp or similar) is a bonus
