Duties
- Record and process journal entries using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Quicken
- Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and balance sheets to ensure accuracy
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and payment scheduling
- Perform account analysis and general ledger reconciliation in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct payroll processing, tax filings, and maintain compliance with governmental accounting standards
- Assist with budgeting activities and provide support for financial report writing and audit preparations
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, and other financial management tools
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, governmental accounting standards, and non-profit accounting practices
- Experience with double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes
- Knowledge of GAAP guidelines for accurate financial reporting and technical accounting procedures
- Ability to perform bank reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and account analysis efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills including 10 key typing accuracy for data entry tasks
- Familiarity with payroll systems, tax regulations, and budgeting processes to support comprehensive financial management
