We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Bookkeeper to join our team!

Position Overview
The Bookkeeper plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across AXYS’ U.S. operations. This position supports the daily financial and administrative activities of AXYS’ U.S. entity, requiring a strong understanding of GAAP principles, excellent attention to detail, and regular collaboration with the accounting team in Mexico. The Bookkeeper will manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger functions, and financial reporting for a growing engineering and controls integration company, while also assisting in budget preparation and variance analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Process AP/AR, create customer invoices, track payments, and manage vendor accounts.
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger integrity.
- Perform account reconciliations and assist with monthly and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries for leadership.
- Coordinate payroll inputs, timesheets, and expense reimbursements.
- Support audits, tax filings, and CPA-led financial reviews.
- Collaborate daily with Mexican bookkeepers/accountants to align intercompany transactions.
- Maintain organized digital documentation of invoices, contracts, POs, and receipts.
- Support project cost tracking, job costing, and financial documentation for service, industrial, and construction-related work.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Support the preparation of financial forecasts and cash flow analysis.
- Maintain communication with vendors and clients regarding billing or payment inquiries.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 2–4 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience in the U.S.
- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices.
- Strong proficiency with accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills (reconciliations, pivots, data validation).
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- CPA or progress toward CPA.
- Experience in engineering, construction, integration, or service industries.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Experience working in multi-entity or cross-border accounting structures.
- Familiarity with U.S. payroll and tax regulations is a plus.
