Full-time Medical Surgical Registered Nurse position near Wichita, Kansas, providing comprehensive adult patient care in an acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with medical and surgical conditions.
Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate changes to providers.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and ancillary staff to ensure quality outcomes.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, discharge planning, and recovery.
Accurately document care in the electronic medical record.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary team meetings.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current Registered Nurse license in Kansas or eligibility to obtain
Current Basic Life Support certification
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
Preferred Skills:
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification or willingness to obtain
Previous Medical Surgical nursing experience
Experience in an acute care hospital setting
Strong assessment and clinical decision-making abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
