This local travel Medical/Surgical Charge RN role in Ozark, Alabama offers a 13-week contract with up to $2,160 per week. The position requires leading a Med/Surg unit, coordinating patient care, and providing high-quality nursing services to adult patients. It is ideal for experienced nurses seeking a short-term, high-pay assignment in a supportive community setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver safe, compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients.
Lead as Charge RN, coordinating patient care and supporting daily unit operations.
Supervise and collaborate with nursing staff to promote efficient patient care delivery.
Assess patients, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate responses to treatment.
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility policies.
Monitor patient conditions and recognize changes requiring prompt intervention.
Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, ancillary staff, patients, and families.
Delegate nursing responsibilities while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes.
Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and care coordination.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and follow infection prevention, safety, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Additional education or training related to leadership or nursing management is a plus.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Alabama.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required based on facility and patient population.
Current and complete immunization, health screening, and compliance documentation as required by the client facility.
Previous Med/Surg nursing experience with strong clinical skills required.
