Connect Staffing is hiring a Lead Restoration Technician for a restoration company in Irvine, CA. This is a long-term placement position paying $30–$35/hr with a Monday–Friday schedule, 7:00 am–3:00 pm. In this role, you will lead setup and operation of restoration equipment including dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and extractors, perform moisture mapping using thermal imaging cameras and moisture meters, and apply anti-microbial and anti-fungal treatments in water damage and mold-affected properties. Saturday overtime is available as needed.

Responsibilities
- You will lead the setup, operation, and monitoring of restoration equipment including extractors, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and ozone generators, ensuring safe and efficient use by the team. You'll also:
- Set up and monitor drying equipment throughout affected properties
- Train and supervise junior technicians on proper equipment operation and safety protocols
- Remove damaged building materials such as drywall, flooring, and insulation
- Clean and disinfect equipment after each job
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of work performed, including photos, moisture readings, and job notes
- Communicate professionally and empathetically with property owners and managers, explaining the restoration process, timelines, and answering questions
Minimum Requirements
- 1 year of experience in a lead role in water damage and mold restoration
- Experience working with residential customers and providing quality customer service
- Experience using moisture meters and thermal imaging cameras
Preferred Qualifications
- Current IICRC certification (Water Damage Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, Mold Remediation, or similar)
- Experience with extractors, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, ozone generators, and air movers
- Familiarity with anti-microbial and anti-fungal treatment applications
- Knowledge of IICRC industry guidelines and best practices
- Preferred prior job titles: Water Damage Lead Technician, Disaster Recovery Team Leader, Mold Remediation Lead Technician, Contents Restoration Lead, Cleaning & Restoration Crew Leader, Fire Damage Lead Technician, Lead Mitigation Technician, Lead Mold Technician, Lead Water Technician, Restoration Supervisor
