Server / Dishwasher

Connect Staffing is hiring a Server / Dishwasher for a banquet food service operation at a large data center construction site in Sparks, NV. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $18–$20/hr on a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with approximately 5 hours of weekly overtime. In this role, you will serve meals and beverages to construction crews in a high-volume banquet setting and handle back-of-house dishwashing and sanitation using a commercial dishwasher and three-compartment sink. The schedule is consistent and the operation runs long-term, making this a stable placement for candidates who are ready to work.

Pay: $18–$20/hr

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM–3:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal setup, food portioning, and keeping the serving line organized throughout the shift.
• Replenish supplies at the serving station and notify management when stock is running low.
• Sanitize dining, serving, and dishwashing areas throughout the shift to meet food safety standards.
• Remove trash and recycling from dining and kitchen areas.
• Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks during high-volume service periods.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and construction-site safety procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 3 months of experience in a restaurant, catering, banquet, cafeteria, or other food service environment.
• Current ServSafe certification (must be active at time of hire).
• OSHA 10 certification (required due to active construction-site work environment).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience serving meals to large groups, workforce cafeterias, or high-volume banquet events.
• Experience operating a commercial dishwasher or washing dishes in a three-compartment sink.
• Background in catering, buffet service, or cafeteria-style food service.
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards beyond ServSafe basics.
• Ability to stay organized and work efficiently during back-to-back service rushes.
