Position Details
Location: Houston, TX 77003
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Strong English reading comprehension, math, and technical skills
- Ability to qualify on various processes and equipment in a dynamic and complex chemical manufacturing environment

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions using sound judgment and common sense
Required Experience
- 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the chemical industry
- 1 years of forklift operating experience
Responsibilities
All employees are responsible and accountable for maintaining compliance with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) procedures and policies while meeting high-quality and productivity standards.
Essential Duties Include:
- Understand and operate packaging equipment and processes
- Handle, store, and transport chemical materials using both motorized and non-motorized equipment
- Perform manual and automated process operations using field controls and computer-controlled interface systems
- Package materials into appropriate containers following established procedures
- Respond to emergency situations, including emergency shutdown procedures within assigned areas
- Complete required documentation, including:
- Plant data sheets
- Environmental reports
- Inventory sheets
- Forklift inspection reports
- Maintain the highest level of quality and housekeeping within assigned job functions
- Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required based on production and business demands
- Successfully complete all operator training, certification tests, and plant training requirements
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, and balance for extended periods
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs with assistance
Work Environment
Employees may be exposed to:
- Wet and humid conditions
- Moving mechanical parts
- High places
- Fumes and airborne particles
- Chemicals, including acids and bases
- Outdoor weather conditions
- Heat, noise, and vibration
