Operational Risk Manager

Assistant Vice President, Operational Risk (Vendor & Resilience Focus)

Hybrid | Chicago | 3 days onsite

We are hiring an AVP to strengthen and elevate our Operational Risk program with a focus on Vendor Risk Management (VRM) and Business Continuity / Operational Resilience. This role sits within the second line of defense and will drive maturity, visibility, and engagement across the program.

What You’ll Do

• Own and enhance VRM lifecycle oversight (onboarding, monitoring, exit planning)
• Develop and improve operational resilience and continuity frameworks
• Strengthen governance, controls and program documentation
• Build meaningful internal partnerships across business functions
• Create and deliver reporting for senior leadership
• Lead training and awareness to drive adoption and participation

What We’re Looking For

• 5–15 years of experience in operational risk, VRM, TPRM or resilience/BCM
• Experience inside financial services, consulting, or other regulated industries
• Strong program mindset — not just assessment work
• Skilled communicator able to influence and drive adoption
• Familiarity with GRC / VRM platforms (Archer, Fusion, etc. a plus)
• Comfortable working in a hybrid culture with strong collaboration

Compensation & Benefits

• Base compensation: $110K–$140K target range performance bonus sign-on
