Compensation: $50–$60 per hour (contract) | $90K–$130K upon conversion bonus

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join a growing CPA firm. This role is responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing tax compliance and planning, and mentoring staff. This is a hands-on opportunity with visibility across the business and potential for long-term growth or ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120, 1120-S, 1041)
- Manage tax compliance, deadlines, and extensions
- Conduct tax research and resolve IRS/state notices
- Provide tax planning, projections, and advisory services
- Review financial statements and support accounting functions
- Manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor
- Mentor and review work of staff (1–2 direct reports)
- Identify process improvements and support firm growth initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA (or actively pursuing)
- 3–8 years of public accounting experience with a tax focus
- Experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience with tax preparation software
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Salary : $50 - $60
