The Opportunity
This is not a traditional tax preparation position. The firm is seeking a Tax Advisor who wants to become deeply involved in client relationships, tax planning discussions, and long-term advisory work. The position offers direct exposure to business owners, high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, and family wealth structures.

Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Preparation
- Prepare and review individual, partnership, corporate, and fiduciary tax returns
- Maintain supporting workpapers and documentation for tax filings
- Assist with tax compliance matters across multiple entity structures
- Prepare various informational and reporting forms as required
Tax Planning & Advisory
- Identify tax planning opportunities for individuals and business owners
- Assist with wealth preservation, estate planning, and business succession strategies
- Support implementation of tax-efficient planning recommendations
- Participate in discussions regarding complex client tax matters
Client Service & Relationship Management
- Work directly with clients to gather information and address tax-related questions
- Assist clients with responses to taxing authorities and regulatory inquiries
- Develop trusted relationships with business owners, families, and advisors
- Participate in ongoing client service and planning engagements
Research & Technical Analysis
- Conduct federal and state tax research
- Analyze tax legislation and technical guidance
- Document research findings and planning recommendations
- Assist with special projects and complex client engagements
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 2–5 years of tax compliance experience
- Experience preparing:
- Individual (1040) returns
- Partnership (1065) returns
- S Corporation returns
- Corporate tax returns
- Exposure to trust, estate, or fiduciary taxation preferred
- Strong tax research and analytical capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
