Payroll Specialist
Location: Kenosha, WI (On-site)
Salary: $60,000-$70,000
Hours: 8-4:30
Job Type: Full-time; Permanent
A well-established manufacturer is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support end-to-end payroll operations. This role will focus on ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies. What You’ll Do
- Process regular payroll cycles for a mix of hourly and salaried employees
- Review and validate timekeeping data, including hours worked, time off, and pay adjustments
- Maintain employee pay records and update changes as needed
- Handle pay-related adjustments such as corrections, final payments, and special runs
- Support compliance with wage and hour regulations across multiple jurisdictions
- Assist with deductions including garnishments and other required withholdings
- Partner with internal teams to resolve payroll-related questions
- Contribute to reporting, reconciliations, and audit support
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience supporting payroll in a multi-state environment
- Understanding of payroll fundamentals including taxes, deductions, and compliance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Comfortable working with systems and spreadsheets
- Exposure to union-related pay rules or structured pay environments
- Experience in a high-volume or operations-focused setting
