- 15 or more years' experience focused in real estate or private equity
- Fund accounting experience with open ended funds
- CPA preferred
- Able to work in-office downtown Chicago four days per week
Key responsibilities: Fund Controller | Private Equity Real Estate
- Own all aspects of real estate fund accounting and financial reporting, ensuring GAAP compliance and adherence to partnership agreements
- Lead the preparation and delivery of quarterly and annual financial statements, investor reports, capital calls, and distribution notices
- Oversee fund cash management, including forecasting, financing arrangements, and subscription credit facilities
- Partner closely with Investor Relations to support accurate, timely, and high-quality investor communications
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, fund administrators, and legal counsel, driving efficient audit and tax processes
- Review and oversee investment- and property-level accounting and reporting from joint venture partners and property managers
- Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable systems, processes, and internal controls to support platform growth
- Provide strategic and analytical support to senior leadership on fund structuring, capital raising, and new initiatives while mentoring junior team members
Salary : $200,000 - $250,000
