Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment to oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and inventory planning of raw materials and high SKU portfolios. The role is responsible for ensuring cost-effective, timely, and quality-driven procurement to support uninterrupted production and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for raw materials, packaging, and consumables in a manufacturing setting
- Manage procurement operations for large SKU counts, ensuring optimal stock levels and material availability
- Source, evaluate, negotiate, and manage suppliers to achieve cost savings, quality, and delivery performance
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply risks to ensure continuity of supply
- Collaborate closely with production, planning, quality, and finance teams to align procurement with production schedules
- Implement and maintain inventory control policies, including safety stock, reorder points, and MOQ optimization
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements
- Track and report key procurement KPIs such as cost savings, supplier performance, lead times, and inventory turns
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes, systems, and supplier relationships
- Manage and mentor procurement staff, where applicable
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience managing raw materials procurement and high SKU volumes
- Strong understanding of MRP, inventory management, and production planning
- Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiation and contract management
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
