GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Inspect, grade, adjust, and play test all wind instruments
- Adjusting and setting up all instruments to meet the “Play out of the Box” customer expectation
- Reporting on improvements to better the quality of the projects produced
- Inspect, grade, and adjust all trial and returned products
- Follow and uphold all processes and procedures to maintain the quality standards for cosmetics and instrument functionality
- Assisting the South facility in projects as well as reaching operational goals, and objective
- Assisting the Quality, Manufacturing, Product Development, and Engineering team with technical input
- Assess condition of instruments as received
- Perform adjustments to instruments in order to achieve the standard for each product
- Play test instruments
- Assist with packaging finished products for shipment or presentation to customer
- Assist other inspection responsibilities as necessary
- Assists in developing plans and procedures to improve inspections and setups
- Assists in raising overall performance of the team by assisting in training and sharing” tips and tricks” of the trade
- Accepts, rejects, or quarantines products to pre-established standards and protocols
- Flexibility to work in all areas of the facility as directed
- Other duties as assigned by the facility quality lead or facility manager
- Musical Instrument Repair experience (3 years), BIRT School Certification/Diploma preferred
- Minimum Associates degree in Music, Music Education, or equivalent experience (Strong woodwind playing experience preferred)
- Extensive instrument repair knowledge, experience, and techniques
- Experience or understanding of working with small tools, measuring instruments or parts
- Proficient in the English language with excellent written and verbal communication ski
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g.: Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter with an expectation for positive results
- A willingness to learn and thrive as part of a dynamic team of experts
- Ability to walk and/or stand for majority of shift
- Vision correctable to 20/20
- Ability to safely lift to 40 pounds unassisted
- Ability to perform repetitive work for a prolonged period
- Exposure to manufacturing environment including dust, noise, and vibration
- Frequent kneeling, crouching, bending, stooping, reaching, and pushing carts
