What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Crew Member for Ranch Supply Store position at Conlin Supply Company, Inc.?
Conlin Supply Company, Inc. is looking for a long-term employee who is looking for stable full-time employment. Yard Crew Members are responsible for all loading/unloading activity that is done in the retail yard for both customers and incoming products for receiving. Yard Crew Members assist customers by loading and unloading trailers, cutting and moving pipe for customer orders, lifting and moving large agricultural fencing products, loading sacks of feed, and pulling products for customer orders with accuracy. Previous experience in ranching, cattle, or agricultural industries highly encouraged.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Daily loading/unloading pallets from semi/flatbed trucks with use of a forklift & loading ramp when necessary
- Assist customers with purchases by pulling and loading large agricultural & fencing products
- Cutting pipe with a saw &/or by torch cutting to customer ordered specifications
- Assist the sales team to fulfill customer orders by pre-pulling orders with accuracy
- Driving and operating a forklift
QUALIFICATIONS
- Good organizational & communication skills
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize & complete assigned duties
- Ability to read and decipher different weigh-slips/delivery papers/order and loading forms
- Ability to read pipe cutting orders that include multiple product sizes and cutting lengths
- Ability to operate and maintain heavy machinery and power tools
REQUIRED
- At least 1 year of previous agricultural/fencing/pipe handling/retail experience
- Must have a high school education
- Valid Driver's license
- Ability to work weekends a must.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
The Yard Crew Member position will be working in the yard in all-weather situations.
Continuous bending, climbing, twisting, and lifting over 80lbs will be required to perform this job.
Wages are based on experience and determined upon employment.
