As a Facilities Technician, you play a critical role in maintaining the operational excellence and safety of our facilities. You ensure that our buildings and systems function smoothly, providing a comfortable and productive environment for everyone. This position requires a proactive approach to maintenance and a keen eye for detail, directly contributing to the longevity and efficiency of our infrastructure.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on critical equipment and building systems, extending asset life and minimizing downtime.
• Diagnoses and resolves issues with HVAC systems, ensuring optimal climate control and air quality.
• Executes repairs and installations related to plumbing, preventing leaks and maintaining water systems.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical systems, ensuring safety and continuous power supply.
• Responds promptly to troubleshooting requests, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Manages and completes tasks related to general building maintenance, keeping the facility in excellent condition.
• Utilizes hand tools and specialized equipment proficiently to complete a variety of repair and maintenance tasks.
• Adheres strictly to all safety procedures, fostering a secure work environment for self and others.
• Records and updates work progress accurately within work order systems, ensuring clear communication and tracking.
• Performs basic carpentry tasks, including repairs, installations, and structural adjustments.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Possesses a high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• Applies 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related trade.

Knowledge/Skills

• Understands and applies principles of HVAC Systems operation and maintenance.
• Possesses knowledge of plumbing systems, including repair and installation techniques.
• Knows how to troubleshoot and repair basic electrical systems.
• Performs preventive maintenance tasks effectively.
• Diagnoses and resolves facility issues through effective troubleshooting.
• Executes general building maintenance and repairs.
• Proficiently uses various hand tools and power tools.
• Adheres to all safety procedures and regulations.
• Utilizes work order systems for task management and reporting.
• Demonstrates basic carpentry skills for minor repairs and construction.

Physical Requirements/Work Conditions

• Lifts, carries, pushes, and pulls up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Climbs ladders, kneels, stoops, crawls, and reaches overhead frequently.
• Works in various environmental conditions, including hot, cold, noisy, and dusty areas.
• Stands and walks for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Operates hand and power tools safely and effectively.
