What Will Be Expected Of You
- Wash all wares by hand or using commercial dishwashing equipment, following the highest sanitation standards
- Polish silverware, platters, and chafing dishes
- Collect trash from kitchen areas; empty, clean, and re-line garbage containers; break down boxes and remove debris
- Inspect trash and dish areas to prevent loss of silverware, china, glassware, or other reusable items
- Clean and polish stainless steel surfaces throughout the kitchen, including shelves, cabinets, ice machines, refrigerators, walk-ins, and coffee stations
- Clean receiving areas, trash rooms, and other kitchen-related spaces
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors, ensuring they remain clean, dry, and free of debris
- Store dishes, glassware, and equipment in designated areas
- Clean and maintain dish machines and dish areas after each meal period
- Assist with additional tasks such as light food preparation, storing deliveries, and cleaning coolers, freezers, and storerooms
- Maintain inventory of soaps, chemicals, and paper products
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas safely
- Handle all china and glassware with care to minimize breakage
- Support weekly kitchen cleaning and maintenance checklists
- Properly clean and store all brooms, mops, and cleaning equipment
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
