Early Childhood Administrative Specialist
The Nadel Center for Early Childhood Education (NCECE) at Congregation B’nai Israel is seeking an Administrative Specialist to support the smooth, efficient, and welcoming operation of our large and vibrant preschool program. NCECE is a joyful, nurturing community where children, families, and educators learn and grow together.
Key Responsibilities:
· Coordinate day-to-day preschool operations with outstanding communication and customer service
· Manage communication across families, staff, and teachers (email, parent app, website, newsletters, shared calendars, signage)
· Maintain accurate records, rosters, attendance logs, and compliance documentation
· Track staff training and support licensing and accreditation requirements
· Assist with event planning, scheduling, and logistics for school and family programs
· Provide administrative support including reception coverage, phone calls, filing, copying, and supply organization
· Utilize technology platforms efficiently (registration, payments, CRM, Microsoft/Google tools, design software, etc.)
Qualifications:
· Associate’s degree or higher preferred (Business Administration, Early Childhood, or related field)
· Minimum 2 years of administrative experience; school or early childhood setting strongly preferred
· Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
· Very strong technology skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, school/synagogue technology, and design tools
· Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and work collaboratively in a busy environment
· Knowledge of Judaism or early childhood education is a plus
· Must be available to work Monday- Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced preschool setting with frequent interaction with children, families, and staff. Some evening/weekend hours for events. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs.
