Job Summary
As an AWS Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions that align with the organization’s strategic objectives. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders—including developers, engineers, and leadership—to ensure cloud initiatives are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop cloud architecture strategies aligned with business goals and objectives.
- Evaluate cloud service providers and recommend optimal solutions based on performance, scalability, and cost.
- Define and execute cloud adoption and migration roadmaps with minimal business disruption.
- Architect and deploy scalable, high-performance cloud infrastructures and applications.
- Lead the design and implementation of public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Establish and enforce best practices for cloud security, governance, and compliance.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams on cloud architecture and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and successful delivery of cloud solutions.
- Mentor and upskill team members on cloud technologies and architectural principles.
- Monitor and optimize cloud spending to maximize cost efficiency and ROI.
- Implement cost optimization strategies such as rightsizing, autoscaling, and resource scheduling.
- Ensure all cloud environments adhere to security and compliance standards.
- Implement robust security practices including IAM, encryption, and continuous monitoring.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Stay up to date with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends.
- Continuously enhance and optimize existing cloud architectures and processes.
- Contribute to cloud initiatives by providing expert recommendations and technical insights.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong proficiency in cloud services including compute, storage, networking, databases, and serverless architectures.
- In-depth knowledge of DevOps practices such as CI/CD, automation, and orchestration.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional are highly desirable.
Experience:
- 8 years of experience in cloud architecture with a strong focus on designing and implementing solutions on AWS.
- Proven hands-on experience with AWS services and ecosystems.
- Solid expertise in AWS Well-Architected Framework, covering Networking, Compute, Security, Storage, Migration & Modernization, Cost Optimization, Reliability, Governance, and Performance Efficiency.
