Position Overview
Kelley Creek Foods is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a full-time Warehouse Associate / Non CDL Delivery Driver. This role is based in our Albert Lea, MN warehouse, handling order picking, packing, inventory management, order fulfillment, and general warehouse operations in a freezer and cooler setting. The individual will also serve as a backup delivery driver, supporting delivery routes as needed.

Position Details
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Location: Kelley Creek Foods, Albert Lea, MN
Scope of Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Receive, unload, and store incoming shipments in designated cold storage warehouse locations
- Pick and pack orders accurately for outbound shipments or deliveries
- Organize warehouse inventory and maintain accurate stock counts
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
- Assist with labeling, palletizing, and preparing products for shipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Support shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and scheduling
Order Fulfillment
- Pack and prepare individual customer orders for shipment, including direct-to-consumer subscription boxes
- Select appropriate insulated packaging, gel packs, and dry ice as needed to maintain proper product temperature and quality during transit
- Generate and apply accurate shipping labels, and verify order contents against packing slips before sealing
- Coordinate with carriers such as UPS and Spee-Dee for pickup scheduling
Backup Delivery Driving
- Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport products to customers, retail locations, and distribution partners as needed
- Load and unload products, ensuring accuracy and care in handling frozen, refrigerated, and perishable items
- Verify orders against invoices before departure and upon delivery
- Maintain a clean driving record and follow all DOT and company safety regulations
- Provide professional, courteous service to all customers
- Complete required delivery logs, mileage tracking, and fuel reporting
- Perform basic vehicle inspections and communicate maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL not required)
- Prior delivery driving, warehouse, or order fulfillment experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and work in refrigerated and freezer environments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking, order processing, and documentation
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and obtain a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Health Card) prior to operating company delivery vehicles
Work Environment
- Regular exposure to refrigerated and freezer environments
- Periodic backup delivery driving as needed to support customer and distribution routes
- Frequent standing, lifting, and material handling throughout the shift

- Inventory counts stay accurate and discrepancies are caught early
- Cold chain is maintained on every outbound order and delivery
- Delivery routes are covered reliably when backup driving is needed

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
