Location: Viroqua, WI
Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Pay: $85 to $88 per hour
Position Summary A Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) provides specialized care to pregnant patients during labor, childbirth, and immediate recovery after delivery. L&D nurses monitor maternal and fetal health, assist physicians and midwives during deliveries, administer medications, and support patients and families throughout the birthing process.

Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor maternal and fetal vital signs
- Assist during vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and epidurals as ordered
- Monitor labor progression and recognize complications
- Educate and emotionally support patients and families
- Coordinate care with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and neonatal teams
- Document patient care and delivery details accurately
- Respond to obstetric emergencies
- Provide immediate newborn care after delivery
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- ADN or BSN degree
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification often required
