Seeking a seasoned credit professional to support a new Venture Debt offering. This role focuses on evaluating, executing, and managing investments in high-growth companies. You will drive deal flow, perform rigorous due diligence, and collaborate cross-functionally to scale a strategic financing portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate deals; perform due diligence using financial modeling, valuation, and market analysis
- Lead investment lifecycle: screening, structuring, negotiation, and execution
- Prepare investment memos, build financial models, and present to committees
- Manage portfolio performance, track KPIs, and drive value creation initiatives
- Partner with legal, risk, accounting, and external advisors for execution and recovery
- Maintain strong relationships within venture capital, venture debt, and startup ecosystems
- Monitor industry trends and contribute to strategic investment decisions
- Mentor junior staff and ensure compliance with internal reporting standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred
- 7 years in venture debt, credit underwriting, or related investments
- Expertise in financial modeling, credit analysis, and risk assessment
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Deep understanding of technology sectors and growth-stage business models
- Proven ability to execute complex transactions and manage portfolios
- Willingness to travel as needed
