We are seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer to develop technical specifications and engineering solutions for gas turbine auxiliary systems. This role supports design, supplier evaluation, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and warranty activities while ensuring compliance with engineering standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional global teams, provide technical guidance, troubleshoot field issues, and support project execution from proposal through delivery.
Responsibilities
- Prepare technical specifications and evaluate supplier bids for Air Intake Systems, Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers, Noise/Acoustic Enclosures, Ventilation, and Fire Protection Systems.
- Review engineering designs and technical documentation, conduct supplier technical negotiations, risk assessments, and support commercial selection.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Project Management, Lead Engineers, Suppliers, Customers, and engineering teams to ensure technical compliance.
- Provide technical support during manufacturing, shop inspections, installation, commissioning, warranty, and proposal development for bid activities.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and field issues while ensuring alignment with customer requirements and engineering standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering or gas turbine auxiliary systems.
- Strong knowledge of Air Intake Systems, Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers, Acoustic/Noise Enclosures, Ventilation, Fire Protection Systems, and auxiliary mechanical systems.
- Experience with technical specifications, supplier evaluations, technical negotiations, risk assessment, manufacturing support, commissioning, and field troubleshooting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to work in a global engineering environment and support domestic/international initiatives.
