Seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support existing products, drive Cost Value Engineering initiatives, and assist in the development of new mechatronic products. This onsite role involves designing and developing mechanical hardware, collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams, supporting troubleshooting activities, and working with vendors to optimize product design and manufacturing processes. Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. No travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Design and modify mechanical components using 3D Modeling Software for mechatronic products
- Develop mechanical layouts, component details, and engineering illustrations
- Support development of controllers, sensors, actuators, enclosures, and accessories
- Prepare technical documentation, engineering reports, specifications, and project schedules
- Collaborate with engineers, lab teams, technicians, technical writers, and vendors
- Support assembly, fabrication, troubleshooting, and validation of electro-mechanical devices
- Work with suppliers to optimize tooling, production costing, and manufacturing processes
- Assist field teams and customers with product troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Utilize Siemens NX, TeamCenter, SAP ERP, and Microsoft Office tools
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical design experience in electro-mechanical products
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly, and fabrication
- Hands-on experience with Siemens PLM NX, TeamCenter, and SAP ERP systems preferred
- Experience in mechanical laboratory or hands-on engineering environments is a plus
- Strong written communication skills for engineering reports and specifications
- Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling, project management, and engineering software
