Job Title: Fabricator

Location: Pomona, CA

Duration: 4 Months

Shift: 4:00PM-12:30AM

Pay Rate: $18.50/hour

Job Summary:

Responsible for operating fabrication equipment such as punch, shear, and brake machines to produce custom parts according to specifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience: Minimum 6 months of fabrication experience, including forming and punching

Specialized Training: CNC programming preferred

Knowledge: Basic shop math

Skills:

• Basic computer
• Use of mechanical and measuring tools

Abilities

• Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
• Physical strength and stamina (lifting up to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling heavy materials)
• Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Mobility and flexibility (stooping, bending, squatting, crawling, climbing)

Essential Functions:

• Set up, program, test, and adjust machines for cutting, bending, and shaping materials
• Operate shear machines to process bus and steel
• Follow production schedules and complete work orders efficiently
• Read and interpret blueprints to produce parts accurately
• Install and align punches, dies, and fixtures
• Operate industrial robots (if applicable) for material handling
• Load and secure materials onto machines
• Monitor machine operations and troubleshoot issues
• Inspect finished parts for defects and quality
• Measure components using precision tools (calipers, tape measures, squares)
• Label and organize completed parts
• Dispose of scrap materials properly and initiate replacement orders
• Coordinate with material handlers to ensure material availability
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of machines and workspace
• Assist with equipment maintenance (Class A Operators)
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervision
