Shift 2: $21/hr., 02:00PM - 10:00PM Monday - Friday
The Operations Technologist is responsible for independently setting up, sanitizing, operating, and troubleshooting processing equipment to support product trials, primarily within the cereal platform. This role ensures compliance with food safety, human safety, and quality standards while providing technical support, leading sanitation activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver successful trial outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Independently set up, sanitize, operate, and monitor processing equipment for product trials.
- Perform equipment sanitation, post-sanitation inspections, and complex system setups.
- Operate equipment safely while following food safety, risk assessment, and safety procedures.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls issues to maintain efficient operations.
- Train and mentor team members on equipment operation and sanitation processes.
- Support multiple processing systems and drive continuous operational improvements.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers while managing multiple priorities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year of sanitation experience in a processing, pilot plant, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating and troubleshooting processing equipment, mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, human safety, risk assessments, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work in a processing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, leadership, coaching, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality results.
- Preferred: Experience in foodservice, laboratory operations, or the CPG industry, with an interest in food innovation and consumer trends.
