Position Reports To: EVS Director
Essential Functions
- Ensure all assigned areas are cleaned and maintained per Confluence Health standards and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Coordinate staffing and scheduling to maintain optimal coverage across all shifts and campuses.
- Monitor labor productivity metrics.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, including labor and supply costs.
- Identify cost containment opportunities while maintaining service quality.
- Implement and monitor infection prevention cleaning protocols in collaboration with Infection Control and Nursing.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess cleanliness, safety, and compliance.
- Lead performance improvement initiatives using KPIs and patient feedback
- Oversee onboarding, training, and ongoing development of EVS staff.
- Ensure staff are equipped with knowledge and skills to meet performance and regulatory expectations.
- Participate in emergency operations planning and response efforts.
- Collaborate with Nursing, Facilities, Infection Control, and Supply Chain to support cross-functional initiatives.
- Maintain regulatory readiness for DNV, CMS, OSHA, and other applicable standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- 6 years recent/relevant experience with at least 2 years leadership experience.
- Understands healthcare cleaning standards, infection control, and patient safety requirements.
- Familiar with regulatory compliance (DNV, CMS, OSHA) and basic departmental procedures.
- Knows how to use cleaning equipment and technologies commonly found in healthcare settings.
- Basic knowledge of waste management protocols and safe handling of hazardous materials.
