Summary
The Organizational Improvement Specialist will play a key role in advancing our healthcare system’s performance and operational excellence. This position is responsible for leading improvement events and serving as a change management professional, applying PROSCI tools and methodologies to ensure successful adoption and sustainability of improvement initiatives.
Position Reports To: VP of Organizational Improvement
Essential Functions
- Lead and facilitate Rapid Process Improvement Workshops (RPIWs), Kaizen events, and other structured improvement activities.
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and IDEA methodologies to assess current workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including clinical, administrative, and operational staff—to co-design and implement sustainable solutions.
- Coach and equip sponsors, people managers, and project teams with PROSCI tools and training to support change adoption.
- Track and report improvement and change management metrics, including adoption rates, resistance levels, and ROI.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards throughout all improvement and change activities.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on initiative progress, outcomes, and recommendations to leadership.
- Serve as a change management practitioner using PROSCI’s ADKAR Model, PCT Model, and 3-Phase Process to guide the people side of change.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration, Engineering, Organizational Development, Nursing or Related Field.
- Minimum 3 years experience in Healthcare improvement and/or change management.
- Experience leading improvement events and applying structured change methodologies.
- Strong analytical, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management and data analysis tools.
- Ability to obtain PROSCI Change Management Certification within first 120 days of employment.
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
