Duties
- Operate lawn mowers, power tools, hand tools, and landscaping equipment safely and efficiently to perform mowing, edging, trimming, and planting tasks
- Maintain landscape features by pruning trees and shrubs, planting flowers and greenery, and managing plant health through proper identification and care techniques
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Apply pesticides responsibly following safety protocols to control pests and protect plant health
- Perform snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access and clear pathways
- Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs or hazards and address them promptly
- Assist with hardscape projects such as installing or repairing pathways, patios, or retaining walls when required
Qualifications
- Prior outdoor work experience in landscaping, gardening, or grounds maintenance is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of lawn care equipment, power tools, irrigation systems, and groundskeeping machinery
- Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture practices, and pesticide management techniques
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators or tree care equipment is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and equipment operation
- Construction experience or skills in tree trimming, hardscape installation, or snow plowing are advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions carefully while working independently
