Fabricator/Welder - 1st Shift

Our client located in Harvard, IL is looking for Fabricators/Welders for their 1st shift! In this position, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting fabrication drawings, preparing and welding components, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Location: Harvard, IL
Pay: $22 /hr (based on experience)
Hours: Mon-Fri | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
• Prepare, set up, and weld components using manual/semi-automatic equipment.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and other shop tools; assist in cross-training.
• Maintain quality standards, safety procedures, and clean work area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; welding degree a plus.
• Prior welding/fabrication experience preferred; ability to read measurements to 1/16'.
• Familiarity with plasma cutters, grinders; forklift certification or ability to obtain.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and team-oriented attitude.

Physical/Safety Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Perform repetitive work; wear safety glasses in production area.
• Must provide own welding helmet and safety boots.
• Regular attendance required.
