Underwriting Service Specialist

At Gallagher, we’re looking for someone who’s ready to make a difference. As an Account Executive, you’ll play a key role in evaluating and underwriting insurance applications for property and casualty coverage. You’ll assess risks, analyze property details, and collaborate with our field teams to make informed decisions. This role doesn’t involve production goals, but you’ll provide valuable support to senior underwriters and help manage accounts effectively.

•  Evaluate insurance applications to determine the best course of action—whether it’s accepting, modifying, or declining a risk.
• Carefully review property details like value, location, usage, and safety features to make sound decisions.
• Working closely with field teams, you’ll gather the information needed to support and defend your underwriting choices.
• Directly contribute to protecting businesses and ensuring they have the right coverage for their needs.
• A keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills to assess risks.
• The ability to collaborate with field teams and communicate effectively.
• A commitment to delivering thoughtful, well-informed decisions.
• A proactive approach to supporting senior underwriters and managing accounts

Required:

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office.

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
