Entertainment, Media and Fashion Law firm in NYC seeks a trademark paralegal with a minimum 5 years’ experience in a law firm or in-house setting. The paralegal will play a crucial role in supporting our trademark practice group by assisting attorneys with all aspects of trademark prosecution, maintenance and enforcement matters worldwide, including: conducting preliminary trademark availability searches, preparing and filing trademark applications, and monitoring application status from prosecution through to registration, and post-registration; preparing and filing other trademark–related documents, including responses to office actions, assignment agreements, cease and desist letters and trademark maintenance documents; assisting with trademark enforcement efforts, including monitoring trademark infringement activities and assisting with take-downs; coordinating communication with clients, government agencies, and foreign associates regarding trademark matters; and manage trademark docketing system to ensure deadlines are properly docketed and timely met.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; knowledge of WebTMS and paralegal certificate preferred.
