Role: Talent Acquisition Specialist
A Farmington Hills-based company is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources team. This individual will support the recruitment and onboarding process by partnering with hiring managers and the HR team to attract qualified candidates and provide an exceptional candidate experience. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their career in talent acquisition.
What You'll Do
- Support the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer preparation, and onboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and assist in identifying qualified candidates.
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, networking, and other recruiting channels.
- Review resumes and conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate qualifications.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a smooth scheduling process.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the hiring process to provide an excellent candidate experience.
- Draft and post job advertisements on various recruiting platforms.
- Assist with onboarding activities, including background checks, I-9/E-Verify, new hire paperwork, and orientation preparation.
- Coordinate with Human Resources, Payroll, IT, and hiring managers to ensure new hires have everything needed for a successful first day.
- Maintain accurate recruiting and onboarding records within the applicant tracking system (ATS) and HRIS.
- Ensure recruiting and onboarding activities comply with company policies and applicable employment laws.
- Track recruiting activity and provide updates on open positions and candidate pipelines.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance recruiting efficiency and the candidate experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), such as ADP Recruiting, is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Eagerness to learn recruiting best practices and employment regulations.
