Role Purpose
Deliver high-impact, value-added sourcing services to our clients in a structured, professional, and consistent manner. You’ll be a strategic advisor, a market expert, and a trusted partner, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term success.
Responsibilities
Sourcing Planning
- Perform spend and contract analysis to identify sourcing and cost reduction opportunities.
- Ability to formulate category specific cost / license / service models such as appropriate for business needs.
- Working with clients and colleagues, define and implement IT strategies and sourcing area plans for business strategies.
Management of Sourcing Initiatives
- Lead and execute IT (HW, SW, SaaS, Network) sourcing projects from end-to-end in line with agreed timelines and service quality.
- Deliver allocated savings target as assigned to categories and locations though the effective management of sourcing initiatives, with proper tracking and reporting of savings achievements.
- Adhere to existing sourcing processes and support the development of sourcing policies and processes as needed by the client.
- Ensure a high-level of ethics in supplier and / or client engagements.
- Ability to support non-IT categories as needed.
Relationship Management
- Proactively foster effective collaboration and ensure strong communication with key client stakeholders and colleagues to deliver defined business goals.
- Develop key client stakeholder matrix per category/location, maintaining regular engagement and driving high levels of client engagement and satisfaction.
- Ensure appropriate supplier relationship management for assigned suppliers.
- Act as key contact person between the CPO office and IT stakeholders with expertise on sub-categories (HW, SW, SaaS, Network, Telecom, Co-lo) and sourcing initiatives.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Ability to work independently and be a team-player as part of a cross functional team.
- Strong sourcing and contracting experience with knowledge of procurement in the following sub-categories: hardware, IT services, cloud and datacenter services, SaaS and license contracting
- Deep understanding of license models and service models, and IT – applications and infrastructure.
- Ability to negotiate and maintain relationships with third-party IT vendors and service providers who can provide the licenses / services.
- Highly competent in negotiations and contract knowledge with a strong ability to converse, negotiate with suppliers and clients.
- Strong project management experience.
- Experienced in conducting tenders (request for information/proposal/quotation/eAuction).
- Cross-category sourcing experience will be advantageous.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (Supply Chain concentration and/or MBA would be a plus).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in IT sourcing roles in one or more of the following categories: software licensing/maintenance, SaaS, other hosted platforms/services, telecom/networks, data center, hardware, desktop, and related IT outsourcing and managed IT services
- Demonstrated sourcing and negotiation experience with major IT Suppliers.
- Ability to perform contract drafting and negotiations with limited additional legal support for master software license maintenance agreements (MSLMA), supply/task orders/SOWs, amendments, service level agreements (SLA), etc.
- Ability to structure contracts with multiple concurrent schedules, annexes, supply orders, and attachments.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying savings and cost reduction opportunities in IT contract negotiations and developing and leading negotiating strategies to achieve those savings.
- Ability to manage engagement risk through identification and assessment of relevant hypothetical issues that could impact each engagement, and documenting such scenarios and relevant risk sharing in the contract
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with and influence senior clients/stakeholders
- Ability to quickly understand and apply new concepts (i.e., business models, governance models, scaling of platform from local to regional to global, supplier pricing models, contracting options and alternatives, sourcing tools and platforms, sourcing process, policies, and procedures)
What We Offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for New York City Metro Area is $90,000 to $125,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, qualifications, skills, location and applicable employment laws. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401(k), and a wide range of paid time off options.
